The OpportunityJoin Aggregate Industries as an AFR (Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials) Operator, where youll play a key role in the safe and efficient handling of alternative fuels and raw materials. This role focuses on maintaining high safety standards, ensuring environmental compliance, and optimising production processes. - Follow and enforce all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE and adhering to the LOTOTO isolation procedure.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring housekeeping standards are met and reporting any poor practices.
- Understand and mitigate environmental risks associated with plant operations, reporting any incidents promptly.
- Conduct pre and post-delivery checks, supervise material offloading, and ensure proper documentation for each load.
- Perform first-line maintenance, including daily equipment inspections, topping up oils, and greasing, while reporting any defects.
- Complete checks on tanks, bunds, and vent pipes, ensuring proper pH testing and dust plant checks.
- Address blockages and feeding issues in silos and tanks, clean sensors, and maintain all offloading areas.
Who You AreYoure a skilledOperator with a strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance. Your ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and ensure smooth production processes makes you a valuable team member.
- Mobile Plant qualifications (EPIC or CITB preferred), strong numeracy and literacy skills, and basic computer literacy. WAMITAB certification is desirable.
- Experience in a production environment or maintenance team, with a comprehensive understanding of safety procedures.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to make decisions, prioritise actions, and multitask effectively.
- Results-driven, precise, and adaptable, with a good aptitude for fieldwork and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
